The Broadband Advisory Committee, established by City Council on December 13, 2016, serves as an advisory committee to the City Council for the purpose of exploring and recommending potential broadband service options to increase the availability of high-speed internet options in Horseshoe Bay. The committee consists of members who are registered voters in Horseshoe Bay, have resided in Horseshoe Bay not less than 12 months immediately preceding appointment, are not in arrears in the payment of any taxes or other liabilities due to the City, and have an active application on file with the City Secretary.

The Broadband Advisory Committee Charter was adopted by City Council on June 16, 2020.
