Public Hearing Set to Board of Adjustment for Application to Appeal Zoning Administrator Decision

An applicant has requested that the decision by the City Zoning Administrator denying the construction of a fence on a vacant property on Lighthouse Drive be reversed.  There will be a public hearing by the Horseshoe Bay Board of Adjustment (BOA) on Thursday, August 27, 2020 beginning at 3:00 PM, concerning that Application for an Appeal to reverse the decision by the Administrative Official (Zoning Administrator) regarding interpretation of the definition in Chapter 14 Zoning, Article 14.02 Zoning Ordinance, Section 14.02.002 “Definitions” of an Accessory Structure requiring that it be “located on the same lot as, the use of the main building…”.  The Zoning Administrator has denied the applicant’s request to place a fence on a vacant lot on Lighthouse Drive on the basis that there is no main building on the property.
