Long Range Planning Advisory Committee Report
On March 17, 2015, City Council formed the first Long Range Planning Advisory Committee (LRPAC) for the City of Horseshoe Bay. The Committee was formed as a single-purpose advisory committee to assist the City Council with the development of a long range plan for the City of Horseshoe Bay in order to ensure the future long-term challenges for the City of Horseshoe Bay's citizens are identified. Information derived from a variety of sources, such as the City's elected leaders and staff, citizens, and other stakeholders, helped guide the development of a Long Range Comprehensive Plan. A copy of the 2015 Long Range Comprehensive Plan and related documents can be found at the bottom of this page.
The 2015 Long Range Comprehensive Plan was adopted by City Council on October 18, 2016. The recommendation, which was approved by City Council, was to re-activate the LRPAC every 3-5 years in order to continually improve upon, and re-evaluate, the long range plan to ensure Horseshoe Bay remains a world-class destination.
In July 2019, City Council announced the re-activation of the LRPAC and approved the Committee's Charter. In August 2019, the ordinance governing the Committee was approved as Ordinance 2019-36, and the members listed below were appointed to the Committee by Council. Questions about the Committee should be directed to City Manager Stan Farmer via email or by phone at 830-598-9940.
