On March 17, 2015, City Council formed the first Long Range Planning Advisory Committee (LRPAC) for the City of Horseshoe Bay. The Committee was formed as a single-purpose advisory committee to assist the City Council with the development of a long range plan for the City of Horseshoe Bay. The Long Range Comprehensive Plan was adopted by City Council on October 18, 2016. The recommendation, which was approved by City Council, was to re-activate the LRPAC every 3-5 years in order to continually improve upon, and re-evaluate, the long range plan to ensure Horseshoe Bay remains a world-class destination.
In July 2019, City Council announced the re-activation of the LRPAC. Applications are being accepted until August 20, 2019. Members will be appointed to the Committee at the August 27th City Council meeting, and the first meeting will be held in September 2019. Citizens interested in serving on the Committee must submit an Application to Serve to the City Secretary no later than August 20th. Questions about the Committee should be directed to City Manager Stan Farmer via email or by phone at 830-598-9940.
