On Wednesday, Sept. 13, more than 100 residents attended the City of Horseshoe Bay Town Hall Meeting, held at the Horseshoe Bay Yacht Club.
Mayor Clinesmith and City Manager Jeff Koska provided updates on the City and an opportunity for citizens to meet City staff, and learn about the various departments that serve the City.
City Manager Jeff Koska said "this was a great opportunity for citizens to connect, get informed, and to get engaged and that they did with over 100 residents in attendance, exceeded our expectations."
Council Member Elsie Thurman, the 2020 Long-range Plan Chair, provided an update on how the City has worked to accomplish the majority of goals set in the plan.
A large turnout of residents circulated around the ballroom to stations to learn more about City departments: Fire/Police, Utilities, Legislative Services, Finance, Public Works, Development Services, and more. Department leaders were on hand to share current information, projects, and answer questions.
City Council Members, also in attendance, provided details around topics of interest. The Communications Dept. station provided an opportunity for citizens to register for the CivicReady, Warn Central Texas, and WaterSmart notification systems which provide automatic emergency and non-emergency information via email, text, and phone.
