The City of Horseshoe Bay is Prepared - As we enter this winter, the City crews are prepared for possible icing of our streets and will apply de-icing salt when appropriate. All emergency services and utilities are prepared and ready to support the community. Additional emergency generators have been installed on water infrastructure to increase dependability in case of loss of power. The City will provide additional information as any significant weather event develops.

Prepare to Protect Pipes, Plants, and Pets - Widespread freezing temperatures during nighttime hours are expected throughout the middle of next week. Temperatures will drop down to the mid-teens or lower during nighttime hours. Wrap or drip outside faucets and pipes. Bring pets and plants into heated areas to protect them from the freeze. Turn off irrigation systems. Know where your water shut-off is in case of broken pipes that may freeze in exposed areas. Please check in on your neighbors who may need assistance preparing for the hard freeze event.
