Residents should be cautious of individuals claiming to be from the Horseshoe Bay Police Department, using the actual PD phone number and a false name, possibly James Miller. They may assert that an arrest warrant has been issued and could send a counterfeit warrant via text or email, requesting money to avoid arrest. The Police Department has received numerous complaints from residents this afternoon.
Remember, the Horseshoe Bay Police Department will never call residents regarding warrants. DO NOT pay or wire money to anyone making such calls. Report this activity to the police department.
