I grew up in Cincinnati Ohio and after high school chose to attend Furman University in Greenville SC on a basketball scholarship. I earned a degree in Business Administration and entered the telecommunications industry. I have held senior executive positions with multiple telecommunications companies (Time Warner, Storer Communications, Warner Communications, Nucentrix Broadband, American Broadband, Heartland Cable) with responsibility over Sales and Marketing.
After 30 years in the telecommunications business, my wife Marcia and I selected Horseshoe Bay as our retirement location. I had previously had the opportunity to stay at the resort through a work related conference and fell in love with the entire community and the atmosphere. It was an easy decision to come to the Hill Country. Prior to being elected to serve on City Council, I served on the Board of Directors of the Horseshoe Bay POA as Vice President responsible for capital projects and the development of the website. I also served on the Broadband Advisory Board for the City and have attended the Horseshoe Bay Citizens' Academy.
