Notice of Meeting Regarding Proposed Rock Crushing Plant: Asphalt, Inc. has applied to TCEQ for an Air Quality Standard Permit, which would authorize construction of a permanent rock and concrete crushing plant in Burnet County, not far from the Baylor, Scott & White Hospital. The City Councils of Horseshoe Bay and Marble Falls have both recently approved Resolutions in opposition to the proposed facility, citing potential hazards to residential and commercial developments in the area. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) will be holding an informational meeting about the Asphalt Inc. Permit application on Thursday, October 26th at 7:00 pm at the Lakeside Pavilion, 307 Buena Vista, Marble Falls.
