The City will be contracting with Texas Hydrant Services to perform inspections on all fire hydrants within the City. This firm will be identified by clearly marked logos on their outerwear and vehicles. The inspections will require opening all fire hydrants to determine the working condition, pressure and flow information on the fire hydrant. During this inspection there is a possibility of some discoloration in the water you receive at you home. This is from the higher than usual velocities on the water mainlines use to collect flow and pressure information. If you experience discoloration, please let your water run for about 5 to 10 minutes and it should return clear.
