The City Recycling Center will be closed for operations this Saturday through Monday (February 13 – 15th) due to the expected severe winter weather event reported by the National Weather Service. This alert includes sub-freezing temperatures and the significant possibility of precipitation. The combination is likely to lead to icing at the facility and would pose a significant danger to our customers and recycling staff. The center is expected to reopen at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16th, unless icing is still a factor.
Currently, curbside garbage service is still scheduled as normal. If weather conditions cause a change in curbside garbage service, the City will send out another message related to the change.
