Recycle Center Closed Thursday, February 11, due to Icing at the site.
Due to today’s sleeting and related icing the Recycle Center is now closed. It will open Friday at 10 AM if the weather conditions allow for safe use of the facility.
Please call (512) 755-3257 to confirm the Center is open after 10:00 AM. The Recycle Center will be closed Saturday through Monday and expected to reopen on Tuesday at 1:00 PM, as stated in the message below sent on 2-10-2021.
The City Recycle Center will be closed for operations this Saturday through Monday (February 13 – 15) due to the expected severe winter weather event reported by the National Weather Service. This alert includes sub-freezing temperatures and the significant possibility of precipitation. The combination is likely to lead to icing at the facility and would pose a significant danger to our customers and recycling staff. The center is expected to reopen at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, unless icing is still a factor.
Currently, curbside garbage service is still scheduled as normal. If weather conditions cause a change in curbside garbage service, the City will send out another message related to the change.
