The City is urging customers to conserve water. Due to sporadic PEC electrical system issues, the ability to produce water has become limited. This is not a request to turn off dripping faucets to protect pipes during the extreme cold weather, rather a request to conserve water by limiting activities like washing clothes, running the dishwasher, reducing shower times and avoiding baths until PEC can stabilize electrical service to a constant level at the Treatment Plants.
