City of Horseshoe Water System Update - 8 PM
February 20, 2021
As water production increases and water service is restored to our customers throughout the weekend, CONSERVATION REMAINS ESSENTIAL over the next few days. The Utility Department is asking residents who have water service to limit their use to showers, cooking, and flushing toilets.
Doing laundry, running the dishwasher, or irrigation should be avoided for the next several days. These actions will allow pressure to build in the Distribution System and increase the delivery of water service to all residents.
The City currently remains under a Boil Water Notice. Water sampling is planned for Sunday morning with test results expected within 24hrs. The City is hopeful that a Rescind Boil Water Notice could be issued as early as Monday.
For additional information on boiling water for safe use, shutting off your irrigation system or updates on water production, please visit the following link Horseshoe Bay Website - Water Quality.
If you have broken pipes or water leaks and are unable to shut off water to your residence call the City’s Broken Pipe Hotline at (512) 755-3994 to have an operator respond. This will expedite the process of returning the water system to normal pressures.
Thank you. Utility Department
