As the City has grown, so has the need to expand facilities to accommodate employees. The current City Hall is at its maximum capacity and is overcrowded. In addition, the meeting space for both Council meetings and employee team meetings is undersized for the City’s growing needs. The Council and Staff have worked the past three years to determine sizing needed for expanding the facility, both on the existing City Hall site and at other locations. In 2021, the Resort donated a 3-acre site at the Northeastern portion of Summit Rock to build the City Center. After working with architect firms to develop costs and images for the proposed City Hall, the Council and Staff are proposing to build the facility through an $8 million dollar bond issuance. This will not require an increase in your City tax rate. Texas legislator requires a City Hall being built by a vote this November 8th.
