[ARCHIVED] City Loses Valued and Longtime Employee

The City is saddened to report the sudden loss of a well-known City employee, Juan Aguilera, Wednesday night while sleeping.  Juan provided twenty years of service to our community and was an exemplary employee, always showing care and consideration for citizens.  Aside from his City position as Recycle Monitor, he also owned a carpet business that allowed him to serve many in our community.

Throughout the years, Juan has been recognized by citizens for his devoted work ethic and excellent customer service. Juan will be missed by Citizens and Staff alike. Please pray for his family, friends, and co-workers who are working through the loss.

His family resides in Uvalde where funeral services will be held.  The Utility department will host a small celebration of life in his honor for his near twenty years of service and the friendships built.
