[ARCHIVED] Horseshoe Bay residential trash routes are suspended Feb. 1

Due to the continuation, and possible intensification of the Winter Storm tonight and tomorrow, Waste Management has made the decision ensure safety of their crews and the public deciding  not to operate normal residential trash routes Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Waste Management is developing a make up plan based on the pending icy road conditions and will inform the City tomorrow of the plan. It is anticipated they will make up the pick ups on Friday and Saturday, however, that plan is subject weather conditions and available resources.

The City will post the make up schedule as soon as it is made available tomorrow.  If this schedule is problematic another alternative is the City’s Recycling Center’s trash compactor, although closed tomorrow Feb 1, but is anticipated to be open on Thursday pending icy conditions at the site.

Thank you for your patience and please stay safe.
