[ARCHIVED] April 28 around 12-2 p.m. the City to receive three internet towers

On April 28, 2023, around 12-2 p.m. the City will be receiving three wireless internet towers. There will be minimum traffic disruption. Please stay alert and drive carefully.
The towers will be erected over the next week and turned over to the two contracted wireless service providers of VGI and ZEECON for installation of their equipment upon installation. The towers will also provide improved City communications for Public Safety and our Automated Metering Infrastructure system (WaterSmart water metering) to areas with problematic signal strength. The City utilized American Recover Plan Act funds, at no cost to our Citizens, to pay for the towers and also to expand service capacity within the City boundaries. However, the City does not provide the internet services, but supports our community’s need to improve this critical infrastructure. If you have questions related to internet services related to these improvements, please contact either VGI at (325) 219-4404 - website ( ),  or ZEECON  at 830-798-9388 – website ( ).
